Masthead

For my masthead I wanted to do something rather simple, minimal.

I decided that the magazine will be named 'Primo', s nod to tricks in skateboarding.

The masthead

'Primo is a joke to describe when a skater who tried to flip his board lands on his wheels instead of his deck, usually resulting in an amusing fall.

The square around the the title gives the logo a little more shape.

I picked up the idea from a skateboard company with a very famous, and instantly recognizable logo, Chocolate skateboards.

Under the logo appear the words 'Skate magazine'. Written just to make clear what my magazine is about
