Moodboard

As I’ve previously mentioned, I want to do a skate- themed magazine.

There already exist a vast array of skateboard magazine, quite different one from another.

Thrasher Magazine, the leading magazine on the market, has defined for decades what a skateboarding magazine should look like, minimalist covers, bold mastheads and articles full of photos and collages.

The Skateboard Mag, another established magazine, and a strong competitor to Thrasher, has a more diverse range of content. It appeals for both begginer and experienced riders having a bit to offer for anyone.

Finally there are magazines that embrace a more rebellious attitude, like SkateJawn.

Active on youtube as well, it does interviews with lesser-known skaters, showcasing the underground skateboarding scene around the world.

I’ve made a moodboard on pinterest with the main details that I will use myself in my magazine.

Doing this moodboard was very pleasing, as it really reflects my personality in terms of choice. Browsing Pinterest for photos was pretty hard, as I had to delve very deep to find my desired photos.
