Photoshoots research & planning

The photoshoot I intend to do will take place in a park in Bucharest. There will be quite a few models, and I will feature in some photos as well.

 Idea & concept - research and motivation

As my main article is about snowboarding, naturally the photoshoot will be with snowboarders. This winter I've been presented with a unique opportunity, heavy snowfalls in my hometown Bucharest made conditions perfect for snowboarding in the city. This is quite amazing, since in the last 3-4 years snow has been extremely scarce here.

Many of my friends that skate, also snowboard, so I thought that it would be nice for a skateboarding magazine to have a snowboard article, as a winter special.

Models

All the models that will feature in my magazine will be asked consent right before taking the photo, I won't ask anyone in advance to come with me and pose for pictures. Many of the snowboarders that will be present I know already, as the snowboarding community in Bucharest is pretty tight, everyone knows each other.

Props/Costume

I won't use any props or costumes, as photos that usually appear in skateboarding magazines don't use costumes, models wear everyday fits. Of course the snowboarders will have snowboard gear, but it belongs to them, I won't tell anyone how to dress.

Photo-shoot Planning

I want to have three types of photos, action photos, featuring snowboarders doing tricks, group photos, featuring snowboarders that came to the spot, and lastly photos about how we built ramps, or fixed snow.

Location

The location of the shoot will be in Tineretului park, a park where there are hills, perfect for snowboarding. There is also a skatepark that, when covered in snow, is perfect for snowboarding.

Equipment

I won't take anything with me other than my phone, which, when tuned with the right settings, has a pretty decent camera.

I won't use any artificial lights, daylight is enough for me.

I'll also try to shoot in the nighttime, and will see if the photos are good.
